Abdullah ibn al-Hassan’s Story
Imam told Abdullah that was suffering a severe pain because of her hand being cut:
“O my brother’s son! Wait! God will join you with your faithful and pure fathers, the
Prophet, Ali, Hamze, Jafar, and Hassan. “
If my fate delayed me and prevented me from helping you, if I wasn’t there to fight
with your enemies as your companion, I cry for you every day and night, I lament
your loss so bitterly till I die for the grief of the hardships you underwent.
Imam’s prayer after the martyrdom of Abdullah ibn al-Hassan: “O God! Withhold the
drops of rain from these people and deny them the blessings of your earth! O God! If
you give them a grace period to live, divide them into separate ununified groups.”
1. Amro ibn al-Hassan
It has been narrated that Yazid told him to wrestle with Abdullah, Yazid’s son. Amro
ibn al-Hassan told him: “I am not strong enough to wrestle but give me and your son
a knife to fight with each other.”
2. Muhammad ibn Muslim
He was a 12 or 13 year old teenager when he was martyred in Karbala. After the
martyrdom of Abdullah ibn Muslim, Muhammad ibn Muslim was killed by Abu
Marham Azdy and Laghit ibn Ayase Johani.
3. Abdullah ibn Muslim ibn Abdullah
The son of Muslim ibn Aqeel was a young teenager. His mother was Ruqayyah
daughter. In the day of Ashura, Abdullah entered the battlefield with the permission
of Imam Hossein.
, Ali’s4. Amro ibn Jonadeye Ansari
He was one of the young martyrs of Karbala. His father was martyred in Karbala too.
When he wanted to enter the battlefield, he said: “my mother ordered me to enter the
battlefield and clothed me in war clothes.”
5. Muhammad ibn Abdullah
Our praise be upon Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Jafar that was martyred after his
brother. God may curse his murderer, Amer ibn Nahshal Tamimi.

Awn b. Abd AllāhAwn b. Abd Allāh b. Jaʿfar known as Awn al-Akbar , was son of Lady Zaynab (a) who
was martyred in Karbala. Following the advice of his father, Abd Allah b. Ja’far, both
he and his brother Muhammad accompanied Imam al-Hossein (a) and they were
martyred in Karbala on the Day of ‘Ashura.

He was the only son of Imam Sajad. His mother was Fatemeh, the daughter of Imam
Hassan Mojtaba. He was 3 years old on the day of Ashura but he remembered every
details of this sad event.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a)Hazrat RuqayyahShe was 3 or 4 year old daughter of Imam Hossein. She was present in the event of
Ashura and was martyred in the ruins of Sham.

Ali al-AsgharHe was the son of Imam Hossein that was just an infant on the day of Ashura. He
suffered the same thirstiness. Imam Hossein told to his enemies: ” ان لم ترحمونی فارحموا
ھذا الطفل ” (if you don’t have mercy on me, at least have mercy on this newborn child!”
Is There Anyone to Help?
Abdullah ibn Hassan ibn Ali ibn Abitaleb , the younger son of Imam Hassan Mojtaba,
was one of the teenagers accompanying his uncle in Karbala. From the morning till
the evening of Ashura, Imam Hossein’s companions and also his family entered the
battlefield and were martyred. Finally, Imam Hossein was left alone among
thousands of the enemy’s soldiers. He shouted: “is there anyone who helps me for
the sake of God?”
I Don’t Leave My Uncle Alone!
Abdullah who was among children and women couldn’t tolerate to leave his uncle
alone and suddenly left the tents. Imam Hossein told his sister, Zeynab: “my sister!
Stop him!” Hazrat Zeynab came to stop him but he didn’t want to accept. He told his
aunt: “I swear God! I won’t leave my uncle alone!” Then he ran to the battlefield to
defend his uncle.
Hossein’s Companions
Shabib ibn Abdullah
He was one f Ali’s companions that had taken part in the battles of Saffin, Jamal, and
Nahravan. He joined Imam Hassan after Imam Ali’s martyrdom. Then he joined
Imam Hossein.
Hojaj ibn Yazid Sadi
Hojaj ibn Yazid Sadi was from Basra and one of the members of Bani Saed ibn
Tamim’s tribe. He delivered a letter from Masude ibn Umar to Imam Hossein. Then
he joined Imam Hossein and was martyred in Karbala.
Bashar ibn Umar al-Hazramy
He was one of the Prophet’s companions. He was so brave and faithful. He was
originally from Yaman.
Abes ibn Shabib
He was one the faithful companions of Imam Hossein and also Imam Ali (a. s). He
was a brave soldier and also a good lecturer.
Shozab ibn Abdullah
Shozab ibn Abdullah Hamdani is one the people martyred in Karbala. He was so
faithful and knowledgeable and also one of the narrators of Hadith. He was a famous
soldier that took part in the battles of Jamal, Saffin, and Nahravan.
Zaher ibn Umaro kendi
He was so brave and one of the followers of ahl al-bayt. He was one of the Prophet’s
companions too.
Sa’d ibn Abdullah
Sa’d ibn Abdullah was one of the greatest Shea. He lived in Kufa. After Muslim’s
martyrdom, he left Kufa and joined Imam Hossein to help him.
