Ashura

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

امروز هشتم ماه ذی‌الحجه مشهور به روز ترویه است. ترویه به معنای سیراب کردن است و دلیل آن این است که در عرفات آب نیست و حجاج برای وقوف در آن باید آب به همراه خود بیاورند. به گمانم امروز ارباب نازنین، حسین _{^{علیه‌السلام}}، مکه را نه به سمت عرفات و عید قربان ترک می‌کند که انگار آغاز سفری است پر تلاطم رو به سوی مسلخ عشق و بردن تمام هستی به قربانگاه… . مولا جانم تو خواستی تمام هستی را سیرابِ باده‌ی عرفان و معرفت کنی در ساغری از جنس اشک و راهیِ سفری شدی پر مخاطره… .

السلام علیک و علی الارواح التی حلت بفنائک یا حسین…

Imam Reza (A.S) said:

“whoever considers Ashura day, the day of grief and sorrow,

Allah will make the day of resurrection for him,

 the day of happiness and pleasure.”
 

Ziyaarat Ashura In Arabic & English Text:
 

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا اَبا عَبدِ الله

“Peace be on you, O Abu ‘Abdillah

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيكَ يَابْنَ رَسُوْلِ الله

Peace be on you, O son of the Messenger of Allah

The above incidences clearly convey the virtues and significance of Ziyarat Ashura - both in this world and the Hereafter. Now let us have a look at those traditions that indicate and highlight the merits of reciting Ziyarat Ashura and also substantiate the above incidents.

Tradition 1

Alqamah bin Mohammed ibn Hazrami (r.a.) narrates “I requested Imam Baqir (a.s.) to teach me a dua that I should recite on the day of Aashoora after the reciting the Ziyaarat of Imam Husain (a.s.) - from near his (a.s.) grave or from a distance.” Imam (a.s.) replied:

    Day of Arafa’h - 9th Zilhajj - Aamaal

The supplication of ‘Arafa by Imam al-Husayn (a) (Arabic: دعاء الإمام الحسين يوم عرفة) is one of Shi’a supplications which was composed and recited by Imam al-Husayn (a) on the Day of ‘Arafa in the desert of ‘Arafat. The du’a is usually recited by Shi’a on the same day.

This supplication contains some of the highest theological and spiritual teachings. Considering its valuable content, Shi’a scholars and narrators deem the supplication as being reported from Imam al-Husayn (a); however, there is a disagreement among scholars regarding its ending part and some have attributed that part to some Sufi figures.

Because of its importance and significant position among Shi’a, some scholars have written translations and expositions for it.

Ibn Qawlawayh, in his book titled ‘al-Mazar’ records the following on the authority of Safwan:

I asked Imam Sadiq (A.S), peace be upon him, to permit me to visit (the holy tomb of) my master Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and also asked him to guide me what to do. The Imam said to me:

 عن كتاب المزار لابن قولويه قال: استأذنت الإمام الصادق، عليه السلام، لزيارة مولاي الحسين، عليه السلام، وسألته أن يعرّفني ما أعمل عليه، فقال

“O Safwan, before you begin your journey to visit the tomb of Imam Hussein, you should fast for three days and, on the third day, wash yourself, gather your family members, and recite (the Dua’a): O Allah, I keep with you… etc." 

 يا صفوان؛ صم ثلاثة أيام قبل خروجك واغتسل في اليوم الثالث، ثم اجمع إليك أهلك ثم قل: اللهم إني استودعك… الخ

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, then taught Safwan a Dua’a to be recited near the River Euphrates.

 ثم علمه دعاءً يدعو به إذا أتى الفرات

“He, peace be upon him, then said: “Wash yourself in the River Euphrates, for my father, on the authority of his fathers, narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family, said:

 ثم قال: ثم اغتسل من الفرات فإن أبي حدثني عن آبائه عليهم السلام قال: قال رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وآله

امام صادق علیه السلام سه گروه اند که حقشان را جز منافقان شناخته شده نادیده نمی‌گیرند: ریش سفید مسلمان، حافظ قرآن و پیشوای دادگر(۱) لا یوم کیومک یا ابا عبد الله باور نمی‌کنم آنان که روبروی شما ایستادند نمی‌دانستند که ریش سفید بنی هاشمیان هستی. آخر خودشان شما را دعوت کردند به کوفه بیایی. حافظ قرآن بودنت را سر بردیده ات بالای نیزه ها به همه ثابت کرد.  آقای من! پیشوای دادگری که کوفیان آمدنت را هم تحمل نکردند چه برسد به حکومتت. اینان همه شان منافق بودند برای همین وقتی خیل نامه هایشان را خواندی بهشان اعتنا نکردی. آقای من! ای کاش کودکانت را لا اقل همراه نمی‌آوردی. آخر طفل شش ماهه طاقت تشنگی ندارد. تیر سه شعبه هم اگر گلویش را نمی‌درید باز هم زنده از این کارزار بیرون نمی‌آمد. علی لعنت الله علی القوم الکافرین. ۱_ اصول کافی جلد ۲، صفحه ی ۶۵۸
